Wonderful place. Our family visited for my parent's anniversary after seeing Longwood Gardens. Food was excellent, the waitress was very attentive and fun, and the atmosphere was perfect. Prices were fair. Would gladly recommend!

This has become a new tradition spot to grab a good bite in the Brandywine area. I love the old tavern neighborhood atmosphere, the mushroom soup is a must, and always Irish coffees.

This tavern was an enjoyable experience and with a different flair. It had a bar area to the left when you enter and some table seating. To the right through the door is more table seating and that is where we were seated. I had meatloaf that was served with mashed potatoes and gravy with fresh steamed veggies. The veggies were, yellow squash, zucchini, carrots, green beans and I'm probably forgetting something. It was seasoned and delicious. The meatloaf was soft and good. The mashed potatoes were real and had small chunks like I like it. The gravy was a bit salty for me but good. A friend had fish and chips. She loved it. The atmosphere was subdued and low lighting. The patrons ran the gamut from children to aging adults. I've included a few photos of the house from the 1800's. I would recommend this place, but it is a but pricey, not bad though.
